Language: Parts of Speech

1. Read the following words. 

2. Open a Word document, insert a 3-column table. 

3. The titles for the columns are: nouns - verbs - adjectives. 

4. Classify the words in the correct column.

scientist      time      discover      investigation      move     read      house      shelter      food      giant      awesome discovery      experiment      difficult      professor    curious      crazy      work      alert      shout      easy    exam      brilliant      grandchildren      uncle      long strange      weather       sunny      thunderstorm thermometer     tool     excellent     interesting     funny     courtyard     grasshopper     dance     clean     ant     hit     light     animal     kingdom     big     small     blue      cloud sky     beautiful     ugly     yellow     laboratory      common

When you finish classifying the words, write ten sentences.

Combine a noun, a verb,  an adjective  and another noun, from each column.

Example:  ANIMAL        EAT        SMALL      GRASSHOPPER
   
        "That animal           eats          small         grasshoppers"
