WRITE AN ANIMAL REPORT

In preparation for today's activity, play the following game. On your paper write the names of the animals in the game in a list. Then, write one additional characteristic for each of them, for example: penguins - live in the South Pole, or they eat fish.

Now, you will have to do some reading. Click on the link below. You will find an extensive list of animals' names. Choose one animal. In your paper you will make a pamphlet about the animal you choose.
1. On the cover page, you will write the animal's name and draw its picture.
2. On the left side of the paper you will write the specific facts like: type, diet, size, weight, lifestyle, conservation status, colour, favourite food, skin type, main prey, predators, and habitat.
3. On the right side of the paper, write 5 interesting things that you learn after reading the information about the animal.

You will have two classes to finish this job.

Word Games Practice

 Read carefully and follow the instructions.

Today you are going to work on two word games. In the first time you have to unscramble the words and find out the name of one animal.

You have to follow the instructions:
  • Write your name on your paper.
  • Write numbers from 1 to 20
  • Click on the link below
  • Each animal word you guess, write it on your paper. 
  • If it is correct, put a tick next to it.
  • If it is not correct, write the correct word next to it.
  • At the end, write the number of correct answers you had.
  • Investigate about the animals you do not know.
 

When you finish, go to the next link. You will find two similar words. You need to choose the word that completes the sentence correctly.
